City of Trinity, Florida Trinity is a 3,700 acre planned community in Southwest Pasco County and is located along the borders of the three counties of Pasco, Pinellas and Hillsborough. Development began in the early 1990's and Trinity is now home to approximately 3,500 families. Communities in Trinity have been developed with both families and retirees in mind. There are single family homes, villas, town homes and condos in both gated and non gated communities, golf course communities, luxury communities and 55+ active adult communities. A few of the popular communities are Heritage Springs, Foxwood, Thousand Oaks, Wyndgate, Wyndtree, Chelsea Place, Trinity Oaks, Trinity West, Trinity East, Champions Club and Longleaf.
Located in and around the Trinity area are all the conveniences that make a neighborhood a great place to live: good schools, churches, shopping, beautiful golf courses, parks and recreation and restaurants. With so much growth in the area, major retailers and national chains are moving into the area, along with many small businesses and stores making shopping easy and convenient. Major cultural centers and work areas are within 30-45 minutes drive to Tampa, Clearwater or St. Petersburg. Located within the Trinity area are public elementary, middle and high schools, private schools and daycare facilities.
There are several parks and beaches minutes from the Trinity area including Robert K. Rees Memorial Park, Anclote River Park and Starkey Park. Top rated Caledesi Island State Park and beach is about a 30 minute drive away.
The 45,000 square foot James P. Gills family YMCA at Trinity opened in 1998 offering a huge fitness area, aerobics studio, gymnasium, indoor kids gym, rope challenge course and two swimming pools. For information on the YMCA go to www.ymcasuncoast.org.
Medical facilities are close by, including Morton Plant's Trinity Outpatient center and currently under construction is the 500,000 square foot Trinity Medical Center. The five story $195 million facility will employ 1,300 and the campus will have an additional 85,000 square feet of medical office space and state of the art medical equipment. The new hospital will house 236 private patient roofs, 10 observation rooms attached to the emergency room and 28 day surgery beds.
Several golf courses are within minutes of the area and Trinity's own Fox Hollow Golf Course is a popular course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and was ranked as of the top three courses in the Tampa Bay area by the Tampa Tribune. Fox Hollow's practice facilities include a driving range with six target greens, a practice chipping green with sand trap and an 18 hole putting green. After golf, enjoy the club's casual restaurant, Windows on the Green. The golf course, golf shop and restaurant are all open to the public and rates vary by season.
